How to judge roofing work
A roof is the one system that protects every other part of a building, which is why the way a contractor inspects matters more than the brochure. A thorough look covers flashing, penetrations, valleys and decking — not just the field of shingles — because that is where water actually finds its way in.
Roof lifespan depends more on installation quality and attic ventilation than on the material alone. Poor ventilation cooks shingles from underneath, and incorrect nailing patterns void many manufacturer warranties. The useful questions to ask any roofer are about process and sequence, not only price.

A pigeon control person was on my roof and noticed several roof tiles that were broken. My roof was originally repaired by Scott Roofing. I discussed the problem and the age of the roof, and set about to do the inspection. A Scott Roofing representative came out. Once he was finished, he showed me pictures of the rook damage which luckily just required replacing a few of tiles, which I had spared from the original installation. He also showed pictures of the repair and the final product. The Scott Roofing representative completed the job, which he completed without charging me anything. A less reputable roofer would likely made the issue seem far worse and charged me. Instead, the rep demonstrated Scott Roofing's great reputation for integrity and great customer service. If you are in need of a reputable roofer, call Scott Roofing. I certainly will when the time comes!!!

Call (602) 442-7663Scott's staff and roofers are extremely competent, diligent, hard-working, cheerful, respectful and careful. Incredibly, Scott Roofing is utterly honest and ethical. You can believe what they say and trust what they do. You will love the roof they build for you and you will love the experience of working with them. They rebuilt my roof almost 3 years ago after a hailstorm and wind seriously damaged it -- and did a beautiful job. So beautiful, in fact, that one of the things I was saddest about when my house burned down a year ago was that Scott's beautiful work was incinerated. But they came back this year and totally rebuilt my roof and made it even more beautiful. And they were so easy to work with!!
